Peppermint Bark

This Peppermint Bark is so festive and one of the easiest holiday recipes ever. Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate are melted and layered together, then topped with sweet peppermint candies for a sweet treat for you and your friends and family.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces chocolate chips dark or semi-sweet (or both)
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 5 tablespoons crushed candy canes about 10 candy canes

Instructions
 

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Place the dark chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring between each one, until melted and smooth.
  • Use a spatula to spread in an even layer on the parchment paper.
  • Place in the fridge for about 20 minutes to harden slightly.
  • Follow the same steps above to melt the white chocolate.
  • Pour the white chocolate over top of the dark chocolate and smooth with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle with the crushed candy canes and gently press into the chocolate with your hands.
  • Refrigerate for about an hour until chocolate is cool and firm.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut into pieces.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
